The investigation report also reveals that the first slope failure led to formation of an artificial temporary ‘dam’, which later broke as debris covered the entire campsite.
PETALING JAYA: Maintenance works at the slope and road where the deadly Batang Kali landslide occurred were performed on schedule, according to the investigation report on the December 2021 tragedy.
“Slope and road maintenance works were carried out according to the scheduled maintenance at the incident site,” said the report, which was released by the National Disaster Management Agency today.
