PETALING JAYA: The Father's Organic Farm campsite slope, which saw a landslide on Dec 16, is not listed as a critical slope, says the Mineral and Geoscience Department (JMG).

Its director-general Hisamuddin Termidi denied news reports, claiming that the slope, located at the Batang Kali-Genting Highlands road, was listed among the identified critical locations and that JMG listed Batang Kali as a critical location.

"The slope in the landslide tragedy is not listed as a critical slope under the JMG's monitoring," he said in a statement Monday . With regards to settlements or new development proposals in hillside or slope areas, Hisamudin said a risk assessment is required when developers apply for planning permission.
