NEW YORK - The NBA has settled upon key dates for the upcoming resumption of its coronavirus-halted 2019-20 season, including an October NBA Finals and NBA Draft, according to multiple reports on Saturday .
Players seeking an early entry into the NBA Draft would have to declare by Aug 17 and would then have until Oct 6 to drop out if they wish. The league plans to have 22 teams, 13 from the Western Conference and nine from the Eastern Conference, to start play with a chance to reach the final. From July 1 until the mid-August finish of"seeding" games, substitute players can be signed for players missing due to each of those categories.
