BART said it was experiencing a major delay system-wide because of an equipment problem on the track between 19th Street/Oakland and Fruitvale stations.
Crews are working to make repairs so closed BART stations can re-open Sunday, a spokeswoman said, but closures continued to be in effect Sunday morning. BART service has stopped between MacArthur, Coliseum and West Oakland stations due to power loss. There continue to be station closures at 12th St. Oakland City Center, 19th St. Oakland , Lake Merritt and Fruitvale stations, the agency said at 8:15 a.m.
