Dave Portnoy, the president of Barstool Sports, saved a Baltimore pizza shop from closing down on Christmas Day by gifting its owner $60,000 to keep its doors open for a year. Portnoy, who stopped by TinyBrickOven in the Federal Hill neighborhood as part of his popular social media and YouTube page, was told by the shop's owner that the business hasn't been profitable enough to stay open due to its inability to obtain a liquor license.
Impressed by the pizza and the shop's commitment to supporting veterans, Portnoy asked how much money it would take to keep the shop open for another year. The owner eventually suggested $60,000, which Portnoy pledged to give before Christmas
