GEORGE TOWN: Discussions will be held with Pakatan Harapan chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on the distribution of seats and cooperation between DAP and Barisan Nasional in the coming state election, says DAP chairman Lim Guan Eng.
“We will be meeting before Chinese New Year, but work will only start after it as most of us will be busy with preparations for the festival,” he said after a press conference at the party headquarters in Jalan Rangoon yesterday.
Lim said that with state elections just around the corner, Penangites shall expect to see DAP and Barisan working together.“As the government is now a unity government at the federal level, it will also apply to the state levels in Perak and Pahang.Lim said there should be mutual understanding on the collaboration as in the current political scenario, no party has the majority in Parliament.
“All preparations are based on three core matters important to Penang. They are the state economy, welfare of the people and racial harmony,” she said.
