A baby name expert is predicting the Barbie movie will spark huge new name trends, but the biggest won't be Barbie or Ken.
She predicts more little girls will be named Barbara, and boys Ken, but she predicts the "underdog star of Barbie names" will be Allan.Allan, played by Michael Cera, is a much-loved character in the movie and Steph reckons that will be reflected in baby naming trends. She said: "I definitely think Barbie will have an influence on naming trends - it's been huge!
The mum-of-three "stumbled into the career" of professional baby naming after posting a few TikTok videos on the subject. She now charges $50 for a list of name ideas based on the parent's specifications. "For parents looking for softer sounding, gentler sounding names for their son, Allan fits the bill."
