Barbarian star Georgina Campbell and writer/director Zach Cregger react to some very elaborate fan theories regarding their new horror film. Cregger first rose to prominence as a founding member of the comedy troupe called The Whitest Kids U' Know, and later starred in the sitcoms Friends with Benefits, Guys with Kids, and Wrecked. He made his feature directorial debut alongside Trevor Moore in 2009 with the comedy Miss March.
Cregger: It's been fun, because on the comments of the trailer, some people have said some things that have blown my f--king mind. One person was like, "476 Barbary. That's very smart. It's very smart. 476 is the year that Rome fell to the Barbarians." And I was like, "Is that true?" I Googled, and that's f--king true. I didn't know that! That's insane. And then another comment I saw was like, "Barbarian, that's very smart. Very smart title.
Cregger: There are! I know, it hurts me. It hurts me that I can't get into the computer and explain why.
