Road cops stopped a Range Rover on Cumbernauld Road on Wednesday morning and the occupant, a 39-year-old man, handed them a current licence.
Officers say that further investigation revealed that he had obtained a second licence under a new name 'to hide the fact' he had been disqualified from driving. He has been charged and reported in connection with documentation fraud, attempting to pervert the court of justice, and having no insurance.
