Kavanagh is accused of robbing all three banks the same way — by passing tellers notes that said he had a weapon and demanding money before fleeing in a green pickup. Police say he waited more than a month before striking again. He hit a Wells Fargo branch on Newman Springs Road in the Lincroft section of Middletown around 4 p.m. on Dec. 14, 2021. Then on Dec. 17, 2021, he robbed a Wells Fargo bank on Route 36 in Eatontown.
