Construction will start Thursday on an Uptown Dallas tower that will be the new home for Bank of America's Dallas offices.

The 30-story high-rise overlooking Klyde Warren Park is the latest development project in Uptown.Construction is scheduled to kick off on Thursday on a new Dallas tower that will house operations of Bank of America.that it plans to relocate almost 1,000 workers in its namesake skyscraper on Main Street in downtown Dallas to the new building planned in Uptown.The bank will occupy about 238,000 square feet in the building, which is a project of developer KDC and Pacific Elm Properties.

California-based beverage production firm DrinkPak will fill about 2.8 million square feet of industrial space and create 1,000 jobs in two locations in Fort Worth.The once high-flying shared office firm has seven North Texas locations: Uptown Dallas, Victory Park, North Dallas, Las Colinas, Fort Worth’s Clearfork development and two in West Plano.

The building is being designed by New York-based architect Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates, working with Dallas-based Corgan and OJB Landscape Architecture.
