After expanding Billboard’s touring coverage from two weekly rankings to seven monthly charts earlier this year, Billboard has partnered with Bandsintown for four new predictive weekly indexes that feature the top trending touring artists domestically and worldwide.
. The Top Artists rankings include all acts with 250,000 or more Bandsintown trackers, while the Rising Artists lists feature acts with 10,000-249,999 trackers.
These weekly rankings are based on percentage growth in overall engagement during a rolling month, including new trackers, ticket clicks and event RSVPs .by searching for any given act. All artist pages host a complete touring schedule, links to music and merchandise, and allows fans to post show reviews. Each individual show listing has options to click through to purchase a ticket link in addition to links to RSVP within Bandsintown, by selecting “interested” or “going.
The Global and U.S. Rising indexes are headed by Letterkenny Problems, a Canadian sketch comedy ensemble, bolstered by a new tour that went on sale on Oct. 25. Their 2020 trek kicks off in Moncton, Canada, on Feb. 27 and, 42 shows later, will wrap on April 21 in Los Angeles. Following last week’s on-sale, engagement skyrocketed by over 200% in all three metrics, including a 275% jump in global event RSVPs.
Tate McRae and Dermot Kennedy rank at No. 2 on the Rising indexes globally and domestically, respectively.
