A security alert in Banbridge, which began earlier on Saturday, has ended after a pipe bomb was removed
Several police vehicles were sent to the scene of the alert in Brookfield Avenue in Banbridge
.A controlled explosion was carried out on the device which was declared viable. It has been taken away for further examination.Meanwhile, an alert that began in Newtownbutler in County Fermanagh on Friday is continuing.No homes are thought to have been evacuated.Diversions are in place and motorists are advised to avoid the area.
