THE City of Baliwag, headed by Mayor Ferdinand Estrella, was recognized as the top performing local government unit in the province of Bulacan.
During the ceremonial awarding on Monday at The Pavilion of Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center, Estrella received the award as the Most Competitive LGU in the 2023 Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index Provincial Rankings on Monday, May 6.The rankings were determined through an assessment by the CMCI Technical Working Group headed by Gov. Daniel Fernando as its chairman and Department of Trade and Industry provincial director Edna Dizon as vice chairman.
Gov. Daniel Fernando and Vice Gov. Alexis Castro award the plaques of recognition to Baliwag City Mayor Ferdinand Estrella for ranking first in the Top 10 Most Competitive LGU in the provincial ranking and 3rd Overall Most Competitive LGU in the 2023 Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index during the regular Monday flag ceremony at The Pavilion of Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center, City of Malolos, Bulacan.
Fernando was joined by Vice Gov. Alexis Castro and the other members of the TWG during the awarding ceremony.The municipality of Marilao landed on second place and Santa Maria ranked third in the province.Completing the top 10 are Guiguinto, City of San Jose del Monte, City of Malolos, Plaridel, City of Meycauayan, Pulilan and San Rafael, in this order.
