Baldur's Gate 3's romances feel more realistic.
Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Baldur’s Gate 3 offers the chance to not only save the world but potentially find love while doing so. While there are plenty of opportunities during the course of the adventure to have a night of passion, some of the most fulfilling relationships require a bit of hard work. These romances add an extra level of complexity to an already extraordinarily deep game.
In the final Panel From Hell, Larian’s designers explained that their goal when creating the romances was to make them as true to real life as they could. As Baudelaire Welch, Baldur's Gate 3's Senior Narrative Designer, explains, there is more to romances than simply completing tasks in a questline and saying the right things.
It’s important to remember that when Dragon Age: Inquisition was released, there were those who were up in arms at the fact that companion approval was no longer viewable as in previous installments. Some claimed this was a bug, but it was actually a design choice meant to encourage players to listen and get to know the many characters around them.
