The party encounters him early on in the game - he offers to cure them of the tadpole parasites that grant Illithid Powers in Baldur's Gate 3. He then reveals his true nature as a cambion, a type of demonic offspring.
Raphael is the final boss of his own house in Baldur's Gate 3, and he's a tough one. He has 666 total HP and himself wears the Helldusk Armor, so the party will have to manage its flame-resistant and caster-burning capabilities. He also has resistance to almost every type of damage except Radiant, and if a character does inflict Radiant damage on him, he'll punish them with a stun. He'll also summon several cambion minions, who will try to disarm the party.
