RPG fans are in for a treat, as it looks like the original two Baldur’s Gate 1 and Baldur’s Gate 2 are set to arrive on the Game Pass service imminently ahead of the release of the third game., a number of users have reported getting a mobile notification from the Game Pass app that claims the two classic RPGs are now available on Xbox Game Pass. The message reportedly reads “New Games Unleashed! Baldur’s Gate and Baldur’s Gate 2 have been let loose! Play thse games and more with Game Pass.
We’ve checked ourselves on the Xbox app on PC and console, but the games do not seem to be available on there at the time of writing. So it’s currently unclear whether this is only in certain regions, or if it’s still to be announced by Xbox and the alert has gone out a little early. However, the timing would certainly make sense, as theis almost upon us as the newest game will be launching on PC this week.
There’d certainly be a lot of people interested in trying out earlier games in the series, given the hype around the new one, and it could help spend some of the time as people are waiting for. They’re both widely regarded as two of the best RPGs of all time, coming from veterans Bioware. We’ll update this story should an official announcement come about.
