In a shot from the traffic camera, the trooper can be seen from a distance staring down at the eagle with his hands on his hips as a semi truck drives past. "Thankfully the bird did not appear to be injured, and flew away as Trooper Martinez approached," the agency said. The incident was shared on social media, highlighting the unusual encounter and the quick response by authorities.
