Bag Balm Moisturizing Lip Balm is a billion times more elegant than it sounds, and it’s made in my fave state, Vermont. Allure’s Elizabeth Siegel reviews this lip balm from the makers of the original cult-classic Bag Balm salve.

The original Bag Balm salve is a cult-classic beauty product. It was created 125 years ago on a farm in Vermont and it’s still made in the Green Mountain State to this day. The brand’s four-ingredient lip balm is as soothing as its long-beloved balm for the whole body, and it hydrates without feeling greasy or sticky. Because it’s so lightweight, it wears well under or over lipstick, but also gives lips a soft sheen — more fresh than shiny — on its own.
