Kate visited the BAFTA headquarters, where she launched a short film for her new early years campaign, Shaping Us.
In addition to Prince William and Princess Kate taking in the awards show that celebrates the best in British film and television, BAFTA Award winnerwith a special tribute. “The Queen occupies a unique place in BAFTA’s history, a close association that spanned 50 years. Through her various patronages, the Queen was renowned for her support of the UK’s creative industries,” the awards organization wrote in a statement.
The late monarch, who died at age 96, occupied “a unique place in the Academy’s history and will be missed enormously,” according to a statement released by the organization following her death last September. “[She] will be missed enormously. Our thoughts are with our President, HRH The Duke of Cambridge and the Royal Family, to whom we offer our deepest sympathy.”
