One thing Spotify Wrapped and Apple Music can agree on: Bad Bunny is having a great year.
The Puerto Rican singer-songwriter and rapper has been named 2022’s most popular artist by many of the top music streaming services.
Apple Music named Bad Bunny its “artist of the year” for 2022 this week, as well, noting two of Bad Bunny’s songs also made its top five list for most-streamed songs around the world, including “Me Porta Bonito” and “Titi Me Pregunto.” And his album “Un Verano Sin Ti” was also Apple Music’s most streamed album of 2022, and is now the biggest Latin album of all time on the streaming service.
And when the 2023 Grammy nominees were announced earlier in November, Bad Bunny’s “Un Verano Sin Ti” made history as the first album completely in Spanish to score an album of the year nomination. Bad Bunny, who has two Grammy wins under his belt already, also scored two nods for best pop solo performance and best música urbana album for the February 2023 awards ceremony.
