Melanie Liburd during Bad Boys: Ride or Die interview
Summary Bad Boys: Ride or Die follows the iconic detectives, Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett, on an all-new action-packed mission when they're former captain's name is dragged through the mud. After Mike's wedding and Marcus' heart attack, it seems as though the pair are going ot settle down a bit, but when rumors fly that Captain Conrad Howard was connected to a drug cartel they can't let that stand.
In celebration of the Bad Boys: Ride or Die home release, Screen Rant interviewed star Melanie Liburd. She explained how Smith and Lawrence created a safe and comfortable set. She also reflected on working with the pair and how her character, Christine, fits into Mike Lowrey's growth and his struggle in Bad Boys: Ride or Die.
And why Mike's been running around town not getting close to people for a long time because deep down he was probably frightened of being hurt. And then he gets all these panic attacks because he thinks that when he does fall in love with someone, they're going to die or something's going to happen to them, which is awful. But it's so sweet. It was such a lovely love story.
Melanie Liburd: What was so lovely about working with Will is I remember doing this screen test. It was just like a chemistry test. So I flew to Atlanta and we sat in a room together and it was just like sitting with a really sweet, lovely . I was like, Oh, okay. Absolutely lovely. I think Will's so open in that way that he made it an absolute joy. Everyone relaxed and we were just about the characters and the way it was written was so beautiful.
I always think the best Home Entertainment releases are the ones that have bloopers and outtakes, and this one does. So I'm going to ask you, what was your favorite or funniest moment on set working on this film? I love doing pairings with films when they come out on home entertainment release.
