That’s a 46-day theatrical window to digital sales/rental. The movie from YouTube content creator Kane Parsons shocked many, initially tracking around a $20M-$30M opening before becoming A24’s biggest opening ever at $81.4M domestic and the studio’s top grossing pic both stateside and global with well north of $361M.is still racking up money, ranking 7th at the weekly B.O. with $5.2M in its sixth frame at 2,079 theaters stateside.
Last weekend, A24 released a version of the Easter Egg-filled movie with 16 minutes of extra footage. The movie was co-produced by Blumhouse, 21 Laps, and co-financed and produced by Chernin Entertainment. Parsons was being courted by Hollywood to makepaved a way for YouTube genre filmmakers at the box office, and also reinvigorated Gen Alpha and Gen Z moviegoers.
