Police arrested Andrew Valadez in connection to a shooting and an armed robbery, both unrelated incidents happened on Sept. 17

SAN ANTONIO — SAN ANTONIO, TX—A man accused of committing two violent crimes on the same day last year is now behind bars.

As one of those bystanders was walking back to vehicle, police said Valadez shot the 35-year-man, hitting him in the chest. According to an arrest warrant, the incident started when Valadez and the 44-year-old victim were in the parking lot of the Home Plate Sports Bar off the 2500 blk. of Bandera Rd.

Valadez and another unknown suspect caught up to the victim nearby off the 5100 blk. of Callaghan, and pistol-whipped the man, demanding his property, according to police documents.Valadez previously served prison time for a Family Assault charge.
