Baccarat, the renowned luxury crystal brand, has unveiled a newly redesigned store at South Coast Plaza, offering a captivating retail experience that blends historical charm with modern elegance.
Baccarat has unveiled its newly revamped store at South Coast Plaza , a 1,300-square-foot space in the mall's Penthouse wing. The store design, a collaboration with the design agency Moinard Bétaille, aims to transport shoppers to Baccarat 's workshop in Lorraine, France.
It features architectural details reminiscent of the Maison's historical setting, including floating chandeliers in the windows, shelves and tables carved from charred cedar that pay homage to the smoldered wooden tools used in crystal creation, and display cases inspired by trunks that once carried Baccarat pieces to world fairs. The store incorporates the brand's signature red color, as well as the four elements essential to crystal creation: water, air, earth, and fire, weaving a narrative that celebrates Baccarat's history and craftsmanship. The new South Coast Plaza store showcases Baccarat's iconic collections like Harcourt, Zenith, Louxor, and Mille Nuits, alongside the New Antique Chandelier by Marcel Wanders, inspired by Baccarat's famed World Fair pieces. This design concept will be rolled out to all new and existing Baccarat boutiques globally in the coming years, creating a consistent retail experience.
