The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has placed a recall on padded crib bumpers that were sold on the online retail site AliExpress.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a nation-wide recall of padded crib bumpers sold by the online retailer AliExpress due to a 'suffocation hazard.'According to a press release issued Thursday, the crib bumpers could cause harm if an infant rolls or moves on the material 'in a position that obstructs breathing.' The items in question were sold in a clear plastic bag and come in the following colors: gray with white clouds, teddy bear, light pink, and white.
The bill also bans inclined sleepers for infants and says that such products are 'hazardous.'The bumpers under the recall were sold by the manufacture Henan Ouchang Trading Co., Ltd. at Aliexpress.com between October 2023 and February 2024 for around $174. Other bumpers under the recall were also sold on AliExpress' website by Xinxiang Junshun Trading Co., Ltd between December 2023 and February 2024 for about $26.
