Two people are held in connection with the death of an unidentified baby found dumped in woodland.
Two people have been arrested on suspicion of murdering a baby whose body was found dumped in woodland 25 years ago.
The unidentified baby was discovered in a bin bag in the Callands area of Warrington, Cheshire, in March 1998, prompting a murder investigation. The force declined to clarify why the arrests had only just been made public. Because the infant's identity remained a mystery he became known as Callum, named after the Callands district of the town where he was found.Local people arranged to bury the baby and a service was held at the time
The force said both suspects had been released on bail and urged people not to speculate on the "emotional" case. Det Insp Hannah Friend said: "I understand that this is an extremely emotional case which has attracted a lot of attention over the past 25 years, however I would ask people not to speculate. Why not follow BBC North West on
