Meet Babette, our Pet of the Week. Babette came to SOS Animal Shelter after an “accidental litter.” She was the only puppy the family was unable to rehome. The family reached out to us for help.
Babette came in and quickly began vetting. She was able to get her spay and her first two sets of puppy shots and quickly got to join the other puppies we currently have, making her the baby of the pack. What we can tell you about Babette is that this girl holds the gold medal when it comes to wiggling. She says her spotted feet were made for walking, and she wants to explore.
Babette plays hard and wants a family that can keep up with all her puppy energy. Sure, Babette is adorable, but raising a puppy is just as hard as raising a small child. She will need to be kept safe from all the things she can chew, but the rewards are endless. Babette is a German Shorthaired Pointer mixed with a Corgi, from what we have been told. She has the short stubby legs and the long body. We don’t anticipate her being a large dog, but more of a medium stature, about 30 pounds.
