B&M has slashed the price of its giant retro tin of Quality Street to £6.99, undercutting rivals like Asda, Sainsbury's and Amazon in the festive chocolate price war.
Shoppers love a good price war, especially when it comes to Christmas chocolate. That's exactly what's happened with a giant retro tin of Quality Street this festive season. We reported last week how supermarkets Asda and Sainsbury's were selling the retro-style limited edition tins for £8, which was more than half the price of Amazon's tin - where it's on sale for £17.99 - less than the typical £12 cost and even less than B&M 's £10.
But now the budget retailer has gone one better and slashed its price by almost a third, bringing the cost of the 813g tins down to just £6.99. The price works out at 86p per 100g, which works out even less than its plastic tubs of the treats, costing £5.50 for 600g, or 91.7p per 100g. The retro-style limited edition tins are a popular choice during the festive season and contain dozens of the family favourite chocolates. Inside each tin there are 89 chocolates altogether, of 11 different varieties, including all the favourites we all know and love, including Fudge and the iconic Green Triangle. Just last month we reported how Quality Street is moving away from having just tins and plastic tubs with the launch of a cardboard tub. It comes after paper wrappers were brought in for all the twist-wrapped chocolates in 2022, with only The Green Triangle still wrapped in foil because of its iconic shape.
