B&M shoppers rush to try app feature after mum bagged £70 items for £3
A B&M shopper snapped up a bargain after finding £70 worth of items reduced to £3 using the variety store chain's app. The mum says she uses a built-in scanner on the B&M app, which many other shoppers claimed they didn't know about, to bargain hunt - with this her best find yet.
However, after they caught her eye, she scanned them with the app and discovered the bargain price. She amazed other budget shoppers by sharing her haul on a Facebook group - as they declared they would try out the scanner, too.The scanner is one of the icons on the toolbar at the bottom of the screen when you open the app. It allows you to scan the barcode of any item in a B&M store to check the price if it isn't displayed or the item may have been reduced.
After intrigued shoppers replied to the post with questions about how it works, Danielle added: "When you're in store open the app onto the scanner and you can scan anything you want that they sell. The revelation had many shoppers eager to give the app a go themselves, as some tagged other people to spread the word. One wrote: "We need to download the app and have a day out in B&M scanning for bargains" and another commented: "How did I not know about this."
