Gen. Rodolfo Azurin, Jr., chief of the Philippine National Police , lauded the Zamboanga Regional police force for its strategic law enforcement and peace and order approaches that include the partnership of Muslim and Christian communities in fighting criminal elements.
Azurin said such strategy is indeed working as manifested by the reduction of crime in the region, particularly in the campaign against terrorism, illegal drugs and reducing loose firearms. He said the strategy of pushing for police-community partnership in running after criminal elements and maintaining peace and order is the soul of the M+K+K=K program which he has been actively implementing since he assumed the top police post in August last year.
“These accomplishments show that our peace and security framework is not just a set of buzzwords, but a tangible roadmap towards progress and development for our nation. These accomplishments reflect your excellent teamwork, professionalism, and hard work,” he said.
