Azure Capital is boosting the industrials and sponsors lineup at its Sydney offices at the same time as its senior partner, Adrian Arundell, shift from Perth and a new banker joins from Gresham.

Arundell has been around Australian dealmaking circles for 25 odd years and will move to the Sydney office at the end of the year. Azure has also hired Ben Sloman as a director from Gresham starting in July. They would work alongside Azure’s existing Sydney-based director Grant Mansell, capping off a dealmaking trio for east coast industrials and sponsors.

Arundell has worked on Azure’s deals in the sector including Sime Darby Berhad’s $635 million acquisition of Onsite Group earlier this year and the Salvation Army on the sale of its national aged care and retirement village business to Macquarie. Sloman staffed on Gresham’s advisory work for Wesfarmers, as it divested professional services firm Greencap, and for Lendlease on the sell down of its Retirement Living Business to Aware Super and APG.

Azure opened its Sydney offices two years ago and has since grown it to 14 bankers, including partners Phil Prenc and Harrison Moore.
