Aztecs Scouting Repot: Toledo
San Diego State meets Toledo in its final warmup game before Mountain West conference play begins next week at Boise State.
Head coach Jason Candle has been in place since 2017, when he moved up from assistant coach after Matt Campbell left for Iowa State. Candle joined the program as receivers/tight ends coach in 2009 and has worked his way up to offensive coordinator by 2012. Toledo opened the 2022 season with victories over Long Island University and UMass before a lopsided loss at No. 3 Ohio State .Everything centers around dual-threat quarterback Dequan Finn, who understandably leads the Rockets in passing but also is the team’s leading rusher .
