Fresno State favored to win the West and Boise State tabbed for first place in Mountain Division

The other 14 first-place votes were spread among Air Force , Utah State and Colorado State . The Falcons were a close second to Boise State, followed by Utah State , Colorado State , Wyoming and New Mexico . The winners of the Mountain and West divisions meet in the Mountain West Championship Game on Dec. 3.
