San Diego State has nearly 30,000 tickets out at the 35,000-capacity stadium, expects crowd to rival that for last season's Snapdragon debut against Arizona
San Diego State is anticipating a nearly record crowd for Saturday’s football game against UCLA at Snapdragon Stadium.
Walker said Wednesday afternoon that nearly 30,000 tickets were out for the game. There were approximately 4,400 tickets — half of them on the west side of the stadium — listed midday Thursday on ticketmaster.com.SDSU distributed 34,046 tickets last season against Arizona, just shy of the 35,000 capacity that includes standing-room-only spots. .
UCLA sold all of its 2,500-ticket allotment for Saturday’s game, but most of the crowd will be comprised of SDSU students and season ticket holders. “The students bring that excitement, and you know they’re going to be SDSU fans,” Walker said, “so hopefully it will create that atmosphere we’re all looking for on Saturday.”Walker said walk-up sales on game day exceeded 1,000 for both the Ohio and Idaho State games.
