AX1 ASX: Brett Blundy’s Accent Group plots overseas expansion with Nude Lucy

The move would be the first time that the company, better known for its shoe brands including Platypus and The Athlete’s Foot, has operated in another market.

is planning to take its fashion brand Nude Lucy into the United States – the first overseas expansion for any of the retailer’s labels.and The Athlete’s Foot. However, it has recorded significant growth in sales at Nude Lucy and Stylerunner, another brand.Nude Lucy will test the US market with a website and a few wholesale customers.The brand was founded in 2010 as private label within Accent’s Glue Store business, which it acquired in 2021.

UBS analyst Shaun Cousins said in a note to clients in March that, despite the shaky consumer environment, Accent has exceeded his expectations, allowing him to become more positive about revenue growth and EBIT margins.
