Avatar: Fire and Ash, the latest installment in James Cameron's blockbuster franchise, earned over $1.4 billion worldwide after a successful theatrical run and won an Academy Award for Best Visual Effects. The film, which continues the saga of Jake Sully and Neytiri as they face a new fire-worshipping Na'vi clan, is scheduled to stream on Disney+ starting June 24, 2026. It features returning stars and new cast members, and though its gross is slightly lower than earlier entries, it remains a major commercial success.

Avatar : Fire and Ash enjoyed a strong theatrical run following its release and bagged multiple awards and nominations, including an Academy Award for Best Visual Effects and two Golden Globe nominations.

The film is scheduled to be released on Disney+ on June 24, 2026. It originally premiered at the Dolby Theatre on December 1, 2025, before a nationwide release on December 19. Following the events of The Way of Water, the story sees Jake Sully, Neytiri, and their family confront Miles Quaritch and the RDA, who have allied with the Mangkwan, an aggressive fire-worshipping Na'vi clan led by the ruthless Varang, who reject Eywa.

James Cameron directed the film from a screenplay he co-wrote with Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver. The trio also co-developed the story with Josh Friedman and Shane Salerno. Cameron co-produced the movie with the late Jon Landau through Lightstorm Entertainment. Many cast members reprise their roles from previous films, including Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Kate Winslet, Cliff Curtis, Britain Dalton, Jack Champion, Bailey Bass, CCH Pounder, Trinity Jo-Li Bliss, and Edie Falco.

New additions to the franchise's cast include David Thewlis and Oona Chaplin. Like the previous films, it crossed the $1 billion mark at the box office, with a worldwide gross of approximately $1.4 billion, though this total is lower than that of its predecessors
