While Abbott Elementary season 4 highlighted how much Janine has changed in season 4, episode 15, “100th Day of School,” this outing has also been great for one of the sitcom’s most beloved supporting characters. Janelle James’ Principal Ava was initially introduced as something of a villain in season 1 since the underqualified, openly corrupt principal boasted about only getting her job because she blackmailed a member of the school board.
Ava’s heroism came back to bite her almost immediately as her comments at the District Budget Meeting made her a new enemy.
