Rain was one of the winners in racing. A long weather delay at the Indy 500 kept Kyle Larson from completing the rare Indianapolis-Charlotte double, and let Christopher Bell dominate early and win the Coca-Cola 600 when rain wiped out the last 151 laps.

Last race: Chase Elliott saved a set of new tires for the final run at the 1.5-mile track at Charlotte, grabbed the lead after a lap 183 restart and held it the rest of the way.
