As April is Autism Acceptance Month, known by some as Autism Awareness Month, let’s take some time to understand autism and misconceptions that still persist.

Unfortunately, many people understand autism as a collection of stereotypes that haven’t caught up with a more expansive understanding of what it means to be autistic.
