A man in Licking County was fatally stabbed on Saturday afternoon, and authorities are searching for his daughter in connection with the case.The Licking County
The Licking County Sheriff's Office said that 75-year-old Nick Neagos was found fatally stabbed on the porch of his home on the 200 block of Parana Drive in Newark at around 1:49 p.m. on Saturday.
His daughter, 47-year-old April Neagos, was found walking along the same street and also suffering from multiple stab wounds. She was taken to a local hospital.The 911 call shows the mother of the suspect and ex-wife of the victim arriving to the scene seeing both have stab wounds. "I was coming to pick her up to take her to my house to get her car and they were fine everything was fine. I don't know what happened," she said to the dispatcher. "I came out here and I heard screaming and there's all this chaos and I don't know what's happening.""A knife, I took it out of her hands," she said. "She was stabbing herself in the chest."One neighbor said he heard screaming across the street.
"I wasn't scared but I thought it might've been kids or something at first but it wasn't," David Hopkins who has lived on Parana Drive for 57 years said."He stayed by himself pretty much," Hopkins said.The incident is currently under investigation by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation. Deputies say that they filed and got a murder warrant and the sheriff's office will look to ask for a $1 million bond.
