The Contra Costa Sheriff’s Office has investigated three homicides in Bay Point this year.
BAY POINT — One of two people who were shot to death on Thanksgiving was identified Wednesday morning by authorities.
Marty Fabianek, 62, of Concord, was wounded when officers found him in a home on Mountain View Avenue after responding about 8:45 a.m. on Nov. 24. He died at the scene. Contra Costa County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man identified as Donald Robbins, 63, on suspicion of murder. He remained in custody at the Martinez Detention Facility on Wednesday in lieu of $1 million bail.
Fabianek’s killing happened about eight hours before deputies found another male in the street on Wharf Drive. Authorities still have not identified that person or given his age. As of Wednesday, coroner’s deputies still were trying to find his next of kin. Deputies arrested 18-year-old Emmanuel Morales, of Antioch, on suspicion of murder and Arturo Morales, 38, on suspicion of being an accessory. Authorities have not said if the two men are related.
