Kyle Martin is the Bay Area News Group's Fremont and Tri-Valley reporter for The Mercury News and East Bay Times. A San Jose-born Filipino American, he has lived in both the Bay Area and North Texas, working as a reporter, photographer and multimedia journalist covering daily news, enterprise features, governments, police, protests, courts, the pandemic, music and arts and social issues.
He is a graduate of the University of North Texas Mayborn School of Journalism with a BA in Digital and Print Media.The incident happened Friday afternoon in the Arroyo del Valle drainage."I think it just really does undermine the whole idea and concept of what America is,” one Fremont business owner said. The 23-year-old San Francisco woman allegedly struck the 64-year-old Mountain View man while driving drunk, police said. A drive-by shooting late Friday night killed two people in Fremont, Fremont Police said in a news release Saturday morning.“The data that we were presented clearly did not show a need for the cameras," one councilwoman said.
