The survey found only 1 in 10 Australians wake up feeling refreshed.

Nearly half of Australians in a new global survey say they wake up feeling tired after a night's sleep.

Australians are losing sleep over the cost of living crisis, with one in three blaming financial pressure for their declining quality of rest. The average Australian also has 6.9 hours of sleep each night, which is below the recommended period of between seven and nine hours, the survey found. ResMed sleep physiologist Tim Stephenson described the finding that just one in 10 Australians were waking up feeling refreshed as "worrying".
