The Australian Transport and Safety Bureau is investigating the crash in Gippsland that killed a 20-year-old pilot and two teenage passengers.

The ATSB said the aircraft "collided with terrain in a paddock and was destroyed in a post-impact fire". "The focus of the investigation in the early stage is around understanding the sequence of events, and then we start looking at all the contributing factors that have led to this terrible tragedy," Mr Mitchell said.
The ATSB has urged anyone who may have witnessed the crash to get in touch with them. Its first report into the crash is expected in about six to eight weeks."I met these young men.
