Sky News Australia host Sharri Markson revealed on Friday evening that the government has decided to back the motion following a raft of amendments designed to coax abstaining nations into supporting Palestine. The latest version of the motion circulated by the United Arab Emirates is understood to have made vital concessions to the general assembly, including no longer seeking to grant full UN membership to Palestine.
