A downtown Austin parking lot turns into a homeless resource center for the summer, thanks to the city of Austin 's partnership with nonprofit“I’m very grateful for it,” said guest Kimberly Parsons. “I’ve been homeless for five years, and I buried all my family before I came here, and these people have been really good to me.

Right now, there are portable restrooms, colorful outdoor tables, and umbrellas, with plants all around to give it a more “oasis-feel.”
