Texas Senator Sarah Eckhardt hosted a town hall with other Travis County community leaders to discuss the future of mobility in Austin , touching specifically on Project Connect and light rail coming downtown.
"We're talking about our desire for sustained economic prosperity, and affordability." Texas State Senator Sarah Eckhardt said. "We need to keep the public engaged," CapMetro Board Member and District 4 City Council member Jose "Chito" Vela said. "We need to keep everybody aware of where we are, what the decisions are, and where we need to go."
She was joined by representatives from the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Austin nonprofit Movability and Transit Forward, which works with the city and Austin Transit Partnership. Vela was also there to speak.
