The Austin Fire Department hosted the
Severe T-Storm Watch until 2 AM for the Austin Metro, I-35 corridor and Hill Country. A few storms could be severe. Stay weather aware! 2024 Wildfire Preparedness Symposium from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Rosewood-Zaragosa Neighborhood Center in Austin.
"This is a really important time for our communities to come together and learn from each other and better understand how we, as a community, can prepare for wildfire,"said City Wildfire Mitigation Officer Justice Jones. "Wildfire is inevitable in Austin."
