Austin Dillon has defended his controversial move to secure the win at Richmond Raceway.
Austin Dillon's victory at the NASCAR Cook Out 400 at Richmond Raceway on Sunday was anything but ordinary. Driving the No. 3 Chevrolet, Dillon's aggressive final lap maneuvers led to collisions with prominent drivers Joey Logano and Denny Hamlin.During the overtime race, Dillon resumed from a restart caused by a separate incident involving Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Ryan Preece.

It would have been fun if I was not one of the two guys that got taken out on the last corner.'The victory notably bumped Dillon up by 20 positions in the standings, boosting his playoff prospects significantly, while Logano and Hamlin's performances took hits.
